BMW // See how it feels
New campaign for BMW, sold by WCRS, created by Nick Thornton-Jones and Warren Du Preez (remember Mekanism skateboards or GAS BOOK 14?).
80 cameras for a very eye candy visual treat. Old time favourites, Richard File + James Lavelle aka UNKLE have reworked Beetohv's 9th symphony. Damn hot.
Looks Good, Sounds Good.
Pity the fool who said TVC was dead...

Breathtaking. So good on so many levels and really shows the art, engineering and passion that should be a great car.
Now if BMW gets over the Bangle influence they have the guys to redo the ad with a better car.

Not only is the production bad with the 80s special effects, but there's no frickin' concept. You've given me no reason whatsoever to care about this prodct, or even remember it.

A BMW is a great car. This ad isn't.
FX are oldshool and there's not the slightest sign of an usp arround here. Or is there any reason, you couldn't do the same spot for a mercedes cls coupe?

bitch-bitch-bitch! forget about your 'USP' and 'concept' crap...who cares! Put down the dummies guide to advertising books, sit back and enjoy simple light and motion with a class soundtrack....quality!

The best car advert of all time.
If you don't understand this advert then you're not BMWs target audience, which is fine.
PS this advert would be lame without Bangle's incredibly daring design.

Such a beautiful advert... I was totally stunned when I first saw it. The music is absolutely beautiful too. I cannot fathom the comments regarding FX. I thought the visuals were stunning - FX never popped into my mind - I was just enjoying the combination of light and sound. Longer version please!

There are only three things on this planet that could have anyone not accept this as the most brilliant car ad ever:
1. BLINDNESS
2. ULTERIOR MOTIVE
3. UTTER STUPIDITY
Its brilliant, beyond description. Accept it.

I am so glad to watch an advert that shows the car and not some 'lifestyle' that is meant for us to think we will be apart of by buying the car.
It visualises the love affair we have with the motor car perfectly. The love for its engineering, speed, movement and beauty.
Bangles cars may not be to everyones taste, but the good stuff always takes time to adjust too. I'd take a good long look at one in real life, they are beautifully detailed, precise machines. You'd be surprised.

Concept... not needed. There's no point in BMW trying to point out what makes their cars better, or what new features they have... they already have the motor press to do that for them (who regularily claim that BMW are bestest) - so instead they just want to create a sense of art, science and passion that surrounds owning a BMW. It might feel lame / sad / bolloks... but actually having a car that starts every day without fail for 20 years, holds every corner for 20 years, drives the rear wheels when most others dont, and sits you in beige leather sports seats... it is a little bit like that. yikes
