Undft Yo!

Finally Undefeated site is online. It has a cool review of their billboard project. You don’t know it? Here’s the deal:
The Undefeated Billboard Project is a unique collaboration between Undefeated, Aaron Rose (the guy from Alleged Gallery) and Nike. Perched above the Undefeated location on La Brea in Los Angeles, California the Undefeated Billboard Project is a reflection of our store and the culture it represents. It takes the work of both fine artist and street artist and places it in an area where it normally wouldn't be displayed. This collaborative effort lends for a stunning addition to the visual landscape of Los Angeles.
Voilà!
Enjoy…

Bike Messengers in NYC

Bike messengers have always been hip. With a lot mysticism around them. In France we don’t have real bike messengers… The closer we have is this:
This short movie shows a bike messengers race through the streets of NYC. It’s crazy. Those guys are ill. Looking at them gave me almost the same feeling as when I saw my first skate video, with this skater pulling a one foot ollie. Back in the beginning of the 90s...
Enjoy! Ps: Yes the 7mn are worth!

New Coca-Cola Website US

Ok, so I’ve read sometime ago an article about this marketing manager @ Coke US (USA). She was explaining the rebuilding of the red coke brand, less statutory and closer to its young target. She was also thanking Dan, from Wieden and Kennedy, for his help in putting Coke back where it’s supposed to be on a strategical, brand oriented, point of view.
Sometimes I feel that strategy is just strategy. It’s just some words, stuck onto a PowerPoint, with a suit&tie guy trying to put life into it (yeah that’s me).
Here, I have just spent 15 mn, on the site, laughing, browsing around… Coke entertained me for 15mn, in the middle of a really busy/hectic “work like a slave” day. All the videos in “get inspired” are worth to check (except one). The commercials are very tight…especially the ring one.

Gave me some “nice move kid, fresh is fresh” feeling.
I can feel the extremely vibrant and entertaining power point behind all this.
The kind that gives butterflies in your belly... And, no, there’s no cure for this feeling, I’ve asked.

I guess the guys at Wieden don’t wear ties…nor suits.
Coke it

The sister of “a friend of mine” working at Nike Spore, pointed out this “hip” hot shop. It’s a shop with the usual goodness (Kaws, Kubrick, limited bits and pieces…). They also DO multi disciplinary branding which includes sometimes interactive or print design or being fresh and even sometimes having ideas.
They have some awards too, which is generally a good sign for a creative studio that sells itself as a creative one.
Check it. asylum in spore.

And W+K does Nike SB

This spot has a very nice feel to it. Gave me an old school rush: take my old powell and die in a glorious attempt for a 360° kickflip over a 10...
