Banksy PUNKED Paris Hilton!

Guerrilla marketing by Banksy

The editing of the video is effective. A strong concept and a national execution make this operation a must!
Now, Banksy’s fans are paying huge bucks to have this punked CD, auctions going up to £370 on ebay.
The CD has now been taken off the shelves.

What’s funny about this operation is that everybodyloves it.

HMV UK said: "I think it's brilliant, it's kind of iconoclastic. He's knows how to make a very powerful statement and say more about something than most of us can generally articulate, about celebrities trying to make music and celebrity superficiality. The irony is they'll probably manage to sell more copies of the album."
It's obvious that Paris's album benefits from all this FREE press. Anyway, is there bad press, when it comes to Paris? Not sure. Her marketing plan has always been supported by jealousy, bad press and... genuine talent of course.

The best statement came from Virgin:
"We think it's very funny. It's a credit to him, very creative. He captures the Virgin spirit."
Banksy captured the spirit of Virgin…
When is the next Virgin ad featuring Banksy's art?

i spent an hour yesterday to check the entire stuff at flickr, youtube, the guardian... and realized that banksy is still the best in the streets (even if we are dealing with recordshops right now).
the fact is when i see the new futura "piece of art" for nike i feel that banksy still has the right action at the right moment and doesnt sit in a confortable and exphenvise nike throne.

high respect to him
